Sometimes the best cat gift is actually one that benefits the cat owner most of all. Cat litterbox furniture is related to cats, and cats use it, but the cat owner is the one who will best appreciate it.Cat owners often have the problem of where to put the cat litterbox so it’s not unsightly. Then
there is the smell, and the litter being tracked all over the house. Cat litterbox furniture solves those problems. The litterbox itself hides inside the decorative cabinet, and the cabinet traps litter and odors. What cat owner wouldn’t be thrilled with a gift that helps beautify their home while still making available the necessary accouterments of life with a cat? Look at some of the most popular styles of cat litterbox furniture and buy your favorite cat person a gift that shows you understand their unique needs.

I guess if you’re going to just lounge around, a cat scratcher bed is the best place to do it. At least there’s the option of scratching and stretching if the notion strikes. But for active cats, a much better choice is Bergan’s Cat Turbo Scratcher.
The cat Turbo Scratcher is more than just a scratching pad. That’s good in itself, but this cat toy adds an irresistible ball running around a track. Cats just can’t get enough of chasing the ball as it zips ’round and ’round. The center scratcher pad lasts a long time, but replacements are readily available. If you want a gift for your cat that will occupy him or her for hours, buy a cat Turbo Scratcher by Bergan. And stock up on catnip to sprinkle on the scratcher pad…your cat will be in seventh heaven.

Along the lines of a gift that is good for the cat, and also for the cat person, is a cat scratcher toy. I’m not into strenuous exercise or primping, so these cat toys are a good choice for me…or for cats like me. (My favorite is a scratcher bed.)
Cat scratcher toys help your cat keep its claws clean and healthy. Not only that, but the action of digging in and pulling back stretches the muscles to keep your cat limber and flexible.
Cat owners like cat scratchers because they give the cat someplace to scratch other than the furniture. Scratching is a natural and instinctive activity, so it’s not fair to get angry with your cat. Just provide one of these popular cat scratcher toys, and everyone will be happy. What more can you ask for from a Christmas gift?

Perhaps the most thoughtful gift for cats isn’t even something to play with or on, but something to help them be their healthiest. While being physically active is important, good health starts from the inside out. A cat drinking fountain is a simple way to gift your cat with health.Cats needs lots of fresh water every day. It keeps them hydrated and lessens the chance of kidney or bladder issues. Cats don’t always drink enough, though, because the water in their bowls gets stale. A cat drinking fountain circulates the water to keep it fresh and to encourages your cat to drink more.
Most cats do fine with the most popular drinking fountains, but some may get chin acne from the plastic models. Chin acne looks like little black spots of dirt, and can be itchy or inflamed. Plastic water bowls, if scratched, can harbor bacteria, which may attach to your cat’s chin when it drinks. A ceramic cat drinking fountain is much more sanitary and can help avoid chin acne. For a thoughtful gift for your cat this year, check out the top-selling cat drinking fountains.

I think Harry is right…cats do give a lot to their humans all year long. I’m sure every cat owner wants to buy their cat a Christmas gift to show their appreciation. And a cat tree is a great gift idea! But I don’t go for the natural look — or for the ordinary. There are plenty of cats, as well as their humans, who would prefer a unique cat tree.
I don’t know any self-respecting cat who would really like using one of those ordinary, blocky-looking, beige-covered cat climbers. And what cat owner wants one of those in their home? Harry’s natural-looking indoor cat trees are better, but if we live inside, why try to pretend we’re outside climbing trees? Your cat can get all the benefits of a cat tree and still be an individual with one of the many unique cat trees available.I love the whimsical cat trees that look like something out of a fairytale. The mushroom and beanstalk cat trees are covered with a cushy layer of carpeting and sculptured into a fun addition to any room. Or maybe your cat is artistic or minimalist; there are unique cat trees for their (and your) taste, too. Take a look, and buy the perfect gift for your cat this year. There’s still plenty of time before Christmas!

It’s time once again for our humans to gift their loved ones to show how much they care. I sure hope they remember to show their cats how much they love and appreciate them. We cats offer so much companionship and unconditional love throughout the year. One of my favorite gifts for cats is an indoor cat tree.
If you love your cat, you want to provide everything it needs for a happy, healthy life. An indoor cat tree goes a long way toward your cat’s well-being. It encourages activity for a healthy body, and it satisfies the natural need to climb up high.Though cat trees are available in all sizes, configurations, and materials, my very favorite is an indoor cat tree that looks like a real tree. I like the natural look; it makes me feel like a real jungle cat. They come in seedling and sapling sizes, as well as a tall tree. Which natural indoor cat tree would your cat like best?

I’m no different than any cat, really. I have the same instincts and needs. One of those needs is scratching. I need to keep my claws manicured and healthy. My human doesn’t like it when I claw on the furniture, so these cat scratchers are just the thing.Cat scratchers come in lots of different styles for any cat’s preference. The most popular is the Bergan
Turbo Scratcher cat toy. It lies flat on the floor and has the added attraction of a ball that runs in a track around the outside. I hear it can keep cats occupied for hours. It’s a little too much activity for me, though. I’d just use the scratcher part. Then there are cat scratching posts. Those are quite popular, too. Most of them are covered with that tough sisal material, which is good for scratching. Some cats really like reaching up high and getting a good stretch as they dig in their claws and pull.
Incline scratchers are somewhere in between — not flat on the floor, and not vertical. They give a cat’s muscles a nice stretch, but keep it close to the floor for quick get-aways. Lots of these incline cat scratchers have a hidey-hole in the base for toys.
I have to admit, though, my very favorite scratcher toy is the cat scratcher bed. I can clean my claws without even getting up. The surface feels nice and gives a luxurious massage when I roll around on it. Add a touch of catnip, and I’m off to dreamy ecstasy.
I highly recommend getting a cat scratcher toy for your cat. It will keep the claws healthy, provide activity, and protect your furniture. Because it’s really not fair to get mad at your cat for carrying out an instinctive need.

I’ve heard that cats in the wild climb up to a high vantage point to survey their surroundings and locate possible food sources. Here’s a picture of me hunting for food from a high place.

Seriously, you know that I’m a natural cat. Even though I live inside and I’m not wild, I prefer things as close to natural as possible. None of this fancy, schmancy glittery stuff for me. That’s why I like these natural-looking cat trees I found. The cat trees with the leaves are great. I could really feel like the mighty hunter in one of these. I’d climb up there and peer out through the leaves, and no one would ever know I was there. I bet my person would like them, too, because they look like a nice house plant, but she wouldn’t have to water them.
Even though those cat climbers are made with real tree branches and look very realistic, it’s true that the leaves aren’t real. Real leaves just wouldn’t last, so these are made of silk. So I really like the all-natural cedar cat tree, too. It’s made from a real cedar tree and solid wood platforms, with no chemicals, preservatives, or synthetic carpeting. It looks very serene and peaceful; it would be purrfect for my zen meditations.
Indoor cats really need a cat tree to climb. It satisfies their need to be up high, and it provides some much-needed exercise to ward off obesity. What’s that you say? I should talk? Hey, I use my cat tree as much as you use that treadmill in the corner. I just don’t like to get too high off the ground, because that places me farther away from the food. Here’s a picture of my favorite cat tree.Visit Indoor Cat Trees and pick your favorite.

It’s interesting how often things go through a cycle of change, only to return to nearly the way they were in the beginning. Those silly humans take something completely natural and think they can improve on it. Before long, they’ve created more headaches for themselves and, in attempting to solve the problems, often find they would have been better off if they’d only paid attention to the way things were originally.Take cat litter, for instance. From the beginning of time, cats have been able to take care of their business themselves just by digging a little hole in the dirt. But it wasn’t good enough for humans to have their cats living outside. They wanted them in the house where they could pet them any time they wanted. But when they brought them in, they realized they’d need to provide a box of dirt for kitty’s bathroom.
Now, I wouldn’t want to go back to living outside. There’s just too many risks, and I’m quite happy being an indoor cat. But sometimes you just have to snicker at the folly of humans. They set up a box of dirt for their little Fluffy, but then they had to deal with cleaning the box every day. And boy, did that box smell bad in the confines of the house! So they set about trying to fix that problem they’d created for themselves.
I won’t rehash what’s already been written; there’s already a good description of cat litter choices. Let me just say that human tendencies in general have resulted in them scratching their heads over what to do with all of their own waste, let alone the kitty litter waste they now have to haul out of their houses. Their landfills are overflowing, yet tons of cat litter, neatly packaged in non-degradable plastic bags, are dumped there every year — a ridiculous end for something that would otherwise decompose if they’d just left everything alone.
But anyway, as to the cycle of change I refered to, I’m happy to say that environmentally conscious humans, in their efforts to be more earth friendly, have turned their attention even to cat litter. Now they make litter out of natural plant by-products, like grain, wood, and recycled paper. These biodegradable cat litters will decompose and can be composted or flushed into the septic system instead of going to the landfill. It seems a good compromise: better than dirt, but almost as natural.

What are your worst cat litter problems? Cat litter odor? Cat litter mess? Cat litter ugliness? You may never have thought about it, but cats hate those things, too. I’ve found a solution with cat litterbox furniture.I detest the sight of a litterbox — and it just ruins the Feng Shui in a home. And I can’t believe some cats have to do their business right out in the open. The thought makes me shudder. Again, litterbox furniture to the rescue.
Cat furniture litter enclosures make life nicer for the cat and its owner. It looks like a regular piece of furniture, but the bottom section conceals the litterbox. A doorway in one side allows easy access for the cat, and the doors in front open for cleaning. The person gets a pretty addition to the home — which usually includes extra storage for cat toys and litterbox tools — and the cat gets a private place for personal business.Litterbox furniture helps with cat litter odor control. Since the box is enclosed, it contains the odor. Stray particles of kitty litter stay inside, too, instead of being tracked all over the house. Hidden cat litter boxes are the best thing since dried catnip. And don’t worry that your cat won’t be able to find the box…we’re pretty smart about things like that.
Cat litter furniture comes in all styles, from traditional to rustic, and in many color choices to match your home. It’s so much better than a plain old tacky plastic-covered litterbox in the corner. Check out some of the classy cat litterbox furniture I’ve found.
